Hey y’all — it’s Steven with Refind Realty. If you're looking for something fun, local, and a little different to do this weekend around Dallas, I’ve got you covered. Whether you’re new to DFW or you’ve lived here for years, these three events are worth checking out.
And if you're thinking about making Dallas home for good, keep reading to find out how to stay connected with everything this city has to offer.
When: Friday to Sunday
Where: Main Street, Deep Ellum
Cost: Free admission
If you're into live music, local art, and street food, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival is a can't-miss event. Over 100 visual artists, dozens of local food vendors, and 100+ live bands take over six blocks of one of Dallas’ most iconic districts.
Steven’s Tip: Go after sunset when the lights, music, and energy really take off. Bring comfy shoes — parking fills up fast.
When: Saturday morning
Where: 9150 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX
Cost: Free
Start your morning with a lakeside walk or bike ride at White Rock Lake, then swing by the Good Local Market at White Rock for local produce, handmade goods, and live music. It’s the perfect way to spend a relaxing Saturday morning.
Steven’s Tip: Bring your pup, grab a local cold brew, and explore the trails. Then head to Lakewood for brunch.
When: Sunday afternoon
Where: 5624 Sears St, Dallas, TX
Cost: Free entry
This quirky outdoor beer garden is a local favorite for good reason. You’ll find rotating food trucks, live music, and a casual backyard party vibe. It’s super dog-friendly, too.
Steven’s Tip: Grab a Philly cheesesteak from the Truck Yard stand and kick back under the string lights. It’s one of my favorite ways to unwind.
